Pleas
1. The Collin County District Attorney’s Office has adopted uniform Plea Papers (see below) in felony cases. Attorneys are encouraged to complete their plea papers prior the date of the plea.
2. Attorneys are required to complete the Back Time Worksheet contained in the Plea Papers prior to the plea. Necessary back time information must be requested at least two full business days prior to the date of the hearing. Requests should be submitted to Belinda Williamson the Jail Case Coordinator at the Collin County Detention Facility by email at bwilliamson@co.collin.tx.us or by fax at (972) 547-5229. Ms. Williamson asks that attorney’s contact her ahead of the plea date since some inquires require additional time to complete.
3. We do not plead cases set for trial on the date of trial. All plea bargain offers expire on the last business day before the first trial setting, and are not renewed if the case is reset for trial.
