Intake/Grand Jury Division

This Division reviews every criminal case filed for prosecution by law enforcement agencies. If a case is accepted for prosecution by the Division, the case proceeds as the law requires and according to procedures established by the District Attorney. The decision whether to accept a case for prosecution is made by experienced felony prosecutors exercising their independent professional judgment as to whether or not a case merits prosecution.
