Felony Trial Team 1 (366th/416th District Courts)
Scott Becker received his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994 and his Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1997, where he was awarded membership in the Order of Barristers. He began practicing law as a civil litigator in Fort Worth, Texas for the law firm of Albert, Neely & Kuhlmann, L.L.P., as an associate until 1999. Mr. Becker then opened a solo law practice focusing mainly in criminal defense of both misdemeanor and felony matters. In 2003 he left private practice and began working as an assistant district attorney in the Collin County District Attorney's Office. Mr. Becker is admitted to practice law in federal court in both the Northern and Western Districts of Texas. Courtney Miller attended Texas Christian University, earning a Bachelor's of Arts degree in English with a double minor in Criminal Justice and Political Science in 2002. She then went on to receive her J.D. from Texas Tech School of Law in May of 2005. While in law school, she was a member of the Board of Barristers and had internships with both the Tarrant County District Attorney's Office and the Lubbock County District Attorney's Office. After passing the Texas Bar Exam in November 2005, Ms. Miller worked for the Lubbock County District Attorney's Office Intake Division. She has been with the Collin County District Attorney's Office since January of 2006. Investigator Gary Cochrane started his career in Law Enforcement in 1973 as a Jailer with the Garland Police Department. In 1974 he became a Certified Police Officer with the Plano Police Department working as a Patrolman, then as an Investigator. Mr. Cochrane began his career with the Collin County District Attorney's Office in 1985 as a Criminal Investigator. He is a certified Instructor and a certified Firearms Instructor. He has an associate degree with Abilene Christian University and many credit hours in college and law enforcement training. Investigator Bobby Chacon served in the United States Army and Marine Corp receiving an Honorable Discharge before serving as a Social Worker in El Paso, TX with the Family Service Unit for 16 years. He began his law enforcement career 17 years ago. He was assigned to the transport unit before transferring to the Health Department as an Eligibility Worker. Investigator Chacon transferred to serve as the Bailiff for the 366th Judicial District Court. He later decided to work for the Collin County Law Enforcement Academy and was assigned to the Gun Range and instructed the service classes for law enforcement personnel. Investigator Chacon joined the Collin County District Attorney’s Office as an Investigator for the prosecutors in County Court at Law No. 3. He is a proud father of three wonderful children. Legal Secretary Audrey Reno graduated from Anna High School where she was the Valedictorian of her class. She started her career with the District Attorney's office as the Receptionist. She was soon promoted to an Intake Secretary and then rapidly promoted to the position of Legal Secretary for the prosecutors and investigators assigned the County Courts at Law #2 and #5. She currently serves as the Legal Secretary for the Felony Trial Team assigned to the 199th and 380th Judicial District Courts.
