Felony Trial Team 1 (366th/416th District Courts)
John L. Schomburger, Chief of a Felony Trial Team, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh cum laude with a BA degree in history in 1983 and from St. Mary's University School of Law with a J.D. degree in 1986. Mr. Schomburger has worked in the Collin County District Attorney's Office since August 1986. He has previously served as a misdemeanor prosecutor, felony prosecutor, felony court chief, grand jury prosecutor, white collar prosecutor, and as the Chief of the Misdemeanor Division. He has been board certified in criminal law by the Texas Board of Legal specialization since 1991.

Scott Becker received his Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Texas at Austin in 1994 and his Juris Doctorate from Southern Methodist University School of Law in 1997, where he was awarded membership in the Order of Barristers. He has worked at the Collin County District Attorney's Office since 2003. During that time Mr. Becker has served as a misdemeanor prosecutor, misdemeanor court chief, and a prosecutor in the Crimes Against Children Unit.
Daniel Lewis received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from Texas Tech University, graduating with honors in 2004. He earned his Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law in 2007. While in school, Mr. Lewis was an intern with the Collin County District Attorney’s Office and also participated in the SMU Legal Clinic Program. He competed on the National Trial Competition team, Buffalo Mock Trial team and the Lone Star Mock Trial team. Mr. Lewis began his career with the Collin County District Attorney's Office in 2007 as a misdemeanor prosecutor.
Felony Investigator Keith Henslee joined
the United States Navy in 1989 and assisted in Operation Desert
Storm. In 1992 he attended to the Texoma Regional Police Academy
and began his law enforcement career. From 1993 until 2002 he
was employed by the Denison Police Dept and preformed the duties
in, Patrol Division, Bicycle Patrol, Tactical Entry Team, and
Criminal Investigation Division. In September of 2002 he joined
the Collin County District Attorney's Office as a Criminal Investigator.
He has since been assigned to the following listed duties; Misdemeanor
Intake, County Court at Law #4, Family Services / Juvenile Division
and completed specialized courses in fingerprint comparisons.
Investigator Bobby Chacon served in the United States Army and Marine
Corp receiving an Honorable Discharge before serving as a Social Worker
in El Paso, TX with the Family Service Unit for 16 years. He began his
law enforcement career 17 years ago. He was assigned to the transport
unit before transferring to the Health Department as an Eligibility
Worker. Investigator Chacon transferred to serve as the Bailiff for
the 366th Judicial District Court. He later decided to work for the
Collin County Law Enforcement Academy and was assigned to the Gun Range
and instructed the service classes for law enforcement personnel. Investigator
Chacon joined the Collin County District Attorney’s Office as
an Investigator for the prosecutors in County Court at Law No. 3. He
is a proud father of three wonderful children.
Ms. Eoff began her employment with the District Attorney's Office in April 2007 as Intake Secretary and quickly promoted to Secretary for Misdemeanor Courts 4 and 6. She is currently a Legal Secretary in the Felony Courts.
Mrs. Frye began working for the Collin County DA's Office in February, 2008 as a receptionist in the main courthouse. After six months, she was promoted to Intake Secretary, and then to Legal Secretary I. She is currently assigned to the Family Justice Division, Juvenile Section, and assists in the Felony Trial Division.
